<p>I've never come across them. Drying out every thing is a good start. They're probably getting in on the oats so you could try feeding cooked oats - either dry toasted or pressure cooked dry in jar, that should stop more mites coming in. Wrapping each petri dish separately in foil would help contain the spread </p>
