What's the best way to get a timelapse of slimemold growth?

What's the best way to get a timelapse of slimemold growth? I know they grow better in the dark, so I'd hesitate to illuminate them at all times for camera footage. Any ideas of best cameras, best timelapse softwares for phones, or other ideas for getting a good timelapse? What have people done in the past? Thanks!

Talking with slime molds, the pronoun question

Slime mold Andi represents one of 720 mating types of its species. So I asked it, how would it like to be addressed?

Is Slime Mould generally friendly?

After seeing a report on CNN and reading it and watching several videos I thought of a question:

If one slime mould from let's say for example the USA is "introduced" to a slime mould from another area (continent, country) do they interact together and work as one or do they notice they're from different areas and fight each other?

This is not a joke question, I am asking quite serious...

I've worked with slime mould, specifically Physarum polycephalum, for over eight years now. I am continually astonished by the amazing abilities and beauty of these creatures.

Recently, I completed and patented a method of producing insulin rapidly and efficiently with Physarum in answer to the insulin crisis. Now…

My only problem is--where/how can I access these lil dudes? I've noticed almost all of you are based in the UK (?) and I have no idea where to even start looking for moulds.
