Thats true. It should be a connective tube. Probably when we stored it upside down slime mould felt on the inside id of the petridish and continued growing there. We assume that the connection point between the inside id and the tube was broken and dried out like this. Quite stiff according to its fragile appearance.

On the photo below u can also see another one which is smaller. We can not say the same hypothesis for this one however it cant grow vertically on the air, isnt it?

No, it looks more like a connective tube between the roof of the petri dish and the filter paper, broken when the lid was taken off. Was there growth on the inside id of the petri dish/container?

I've never seen it dry in such a way before, usually it contracts into a smaller flatter scab when going into sclerota state. Interesting...

Can you see the fibrous form? Do you think is it a fruiting body?
