tried to grow slime mould culture with coloured oats to see if slimemould changes its colour. However it didnt work how we imagined... Is there anyone who has already tried to colour the slime mould?

Maybe you should contact a person called Andrew Adamatzky of the University of West-England.
He has a channel on youtube with videos for his book. (it's a bit too expensive for me, but he has uploaded intersting things on arXiv)
