 raction in art and science), I will be giving a talk and conducting an
  experiment.\n \nBeing Slime Mould sets out to test human capacity fo
 r communication and cooperation in comparison with a single celled org
 anism, the slime mould, Physarum polycephalum. Whilst it has no brain 
 or central nervous system, the slime mould demonstrates primitive inte
 lligence and an impressive capacity for collective action and adaptive
  behaviour. This illustrated talk, experiment and discussion will expl
 ore bodies of intelligence, model organisms, and sensory environmental
  responses - by following some simple biological rules we will observe
