Pisgah Nat. Forest, Curtis Creek Area, Old Fort, Western North Carolina
2009 Kenneth D. Ramos

The Curtis Creek area is about 30 min. from my home. The creek is a freestone stream and a favorite of trout anglers. The area is mostly deciduous forest giving way to a more boreal forested area as one gains in elevation. Many species of slime molds may be found there.
