Inside of 24 hrs. the plasmodium that I was so delighted in seeing develop in my moist chamber cultures on January 2nd, 2019, has developed into fruit bodies. Taking time to consult what references that I have in print and in those on the internet, I can still only assume that these are Physarum but to what species, that too I am unsure. Still the fun, the adventure, is in researching the specimens and if like most other things that I pull my hair out over trying to ID, they usually manifest themselves when I least expect them. Pls. note that there are what seems to be remnants of the former plasmodium, clinging to the peridium of the fruit bodies.
