Physarum bitectum

This plasmodiocarp of Physarum bitectum was collected from leaves and twigs that accumulated among the fronds of the treefern (Dicksonia antarctica). I have been searching for and collecting myxos from our property for about seven years but this is the first time I have seen this species.
