What is your interest in slime moulds? (we need to know you're not a bot or spamster)
Hi,
I found out about this through a report on CNN website.
Reason why I am joining this forum is because while watching Ms. Barnett's video on youtube I thought of a question that I would like to ask.

It seems to be 1 organism, one cell that joins together with other cells to form the "slime".
What if one blob of slime is introduced to another blob of slime that might be from a different area or even different country... does it join and work together or would it recognize it's "different" and maybe fight one another?

After seeing a report on CNN and reading it and watching several videos I thought of a question:

If one slime mould from let's say for example the USA is "introduced" to a slime mould from another area (continent, country) do they interact together and work as one or do they notice they're from different areas and fight each other?
