Flow channel false color

False-color image showing the moving (red) and non-moving (blue) cytoplasm in a Physarum vein. For several frames of a gray-scale movie, the difference between each frame and the next was calculated in Image J. The difference images were summed and assigned to the red channel. The average of those frames was inverted and assigned to the blue channel. The movie was taken on a Leitz inverted microscope with an Olympus microscope camera.
