What is your interest in slime moulds? (we need to know you're not a bot or spamster)

I am a middle school science and math teacher and my students and I are fascinated with slime molds. We learned about you from the TED talk. I live in a forest and have been searching but have not found any this week. Where can I get a starter mould that we could perpetuate?
