What is your interest in slime moulds? (we need to know you're not a bot or spamster)

I am a visual artist and student of sculpture and combined media in Ireland. I am particular interested in how art and science can collaborate and have previously studied fungi from an art background. Now I am looking at slime moulds as they are incredibly interesting and would provide many prospects for new work. (I am also interested in the concept of 'biomorphic' robots and how they could possibly move as slime mould does.)
