can anyone tell me substitutes for agar? I heard unflavored gelatin works but I don't know. Please respond as soon as u can, I have a project I'm working on. Thank you

I'm trying coffee filter paper so I'll post updates on whether that works or not.

I d say anything that keep high humidity:

  • paper towel
  • used coffee ground 
  • humid glass container
  • clay pebble
  • perlite (in progress, not sure he loves it)
  • earth

And you need a sealed but breathing container

I know I'm late to the party, but if you ever need such advice, a moist paper towel can work quite well too. You can also cut out the paper towel into different lengths and shapes and rest food on them for the slime mould to find.
