An international network of/for intelligent organisms
The BlobJob controller produces data that is captured thru the three connectors on the CHNOPS studio.
In order to convert this data into a presentable form it has to be interpreted and has to create the matrix that will be the "BLOB-Art". So the matrix is the heart of the experiment examination.
The matrix is build up from a 30x30 dots square where every dot is one measurement on the two connectors at the studio. Thus every measurement cycle is conducted by two individual measurements: first the one for the color and then the measurement for the opacity. So there are 30x30=900 colored dots in the matrix.
Then the BlobJob is set to a number of matrices that are collected in a folder on the computer. Since building one matrix image takes about four minutes it is possible to combine all these images into a MP4 video file. Now we are able to see what happens thru time while CHNOPS is developing in its life cycle. It enables us to research on patterns on a Physarum polycephalum life cycle or simply create a nice BLOB-Art picture to be exposed on the wall.
It is also possible to create a MP4 movi that enables us to view the change in time and examine the patterns that will form and can easily be recognized.
