Got my first slime in the mail from Carolina 1 week ago today, was a tiny speck in some agar.

(PS I think I have heard when Physarum climbs walls of a container it is trying to escape to look for nutrients. Does this mean it is underfed?)

I'd feed it a little more. They explore less when they have food and they can eat a lot - you can double the food at every meal - if you want want something huge that is

Yeah it's actually been looking kind of wilted, maybe 12 hours after this pic was taken. Tried adding some more oats. We'll see if it springs back.

They are good at climbing and escaping!

From what I've seen, they will continue to spread and search regardless of the amount of nutrients available to them. I would normally have more oats for a slime mold of this size but that's just personal preference, and I'm sure that varies between people.
