I found this on decaying wood, grabbed them, and took them home to some Petri plates with coffee filters (I'm aiming to grow them in agar), I'm not sure if what I have here is P. polycephalum (giving the intense yellow color). Could someone help me know if I'm on the right track???  …

I am a student of the Academy of Fine Arts, and I want to design slime molds for my graduation project. I want to combine the feature of slime molds automatically choosing the optimal path into the tailoring of clothing.
Any other thoughts?
Please give me some guidance and advice!

It choose one way to the oats. But I don't know why, also the weather is so dry, I need watering it…

What's the best way to get a timelapse of slimemold growth? I know they grow better in the dark, so I'd hesitate to illuminate them at all times for camera footage. Any ideas of best cameras, best timelapse softwares for phones, or other ideas for getting a good timelapse? What have people done in the past? Thanks!

Slime mold Andi represents one of 720 mating types of its species. So I asked it, how would it like to be addressed?

After seeing a report on CNN and reading it and watching several videos I thought of a question:

If one slime mould from let's say for example the USA is "introduced" to a slime mould from another area (continent, country) do they interact together and work as one or do they notice they're from different areas and fight each other?

This is not a joke question, I am asking quite serious...
