I live in hyrum utah and i don't want to spend money on slime molds so I was wondering if the slime mold Physarum Polycephalum lives here and if it does, then how do I find it.

thanks for the tip!

Hi! we live in Florida and during the rainy season which has been the last couple of months -this particular slime mold grows on the back of plumeria leaves. It is in great abundance here- spreads very rapidly. I unfortunately had the disadvantage of having a tiny scratch on the top of my hand where this slime mold found its way to my skin. It appeared to be localized and just in a dormant stage for about 5 weeks, still not knowing.what it was, I wanted this tiny red bump gone. I started messing with it, thought it may be cancerous even thought it didn't look to be. Long story short I now have a lesion of about a dime size on the surface of my skin that I'm trying to get under control.
