Just Some Questions On Growing From Spores.

Hello, I have recently been trying to collect some more species for my ever growing slimey obsession. I just wanted to ask, does anyone have any tips on growing from wild sporocarps? I have a hemitrichia sp. (i think) that I put on an agar plate a few months ago. It's covered in amoebae, but that's it. They refuse to fuse into a plasmodium. I've seen that you need different mating types, but i think i also saw that spores from the same sporangium will produce amoebae of different mating types? Any form of help or information would be much appreciated, thanks!
