Taken on one of my many hikes through the mountains near my home. Some of the scenic attractions in this area are, of course, Grandfathers Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Linn Cove Via duct, the only bridge like it in the world built from the top down so as not to damage the environment and the natural beauty of the area.
