The Slime Mould Collective

An international network of/for intelligent organisms

I'm doing an experiment to see if I can create a self sustaining ecosystem. All components seem compatible so far, but I'm curious if any knows whether or not dermestid beetles will eat physarum.

Some beetles feed on them https://bugtracks.wordpress.com/2011/08/14/slime-mold-beetles/

Dunno about dermestids but I have a feeling they'll eat anything with a protein content.

Where's the physarum getting its energy from?

I figured they might, I know they'll leave live insects alone but will eat fungi. I'm aware slime mold isn't a fungi, but I don't know if the derms know that lol. I have a couple pieces of partially rotting oak I found in the forest I'm working on inoculating with oyster mushroom.
