I raised some amoebae for a microscopy project with some students and dumped the surplus onto agar. Three weeks later I found something growing in the dish. This thing is a right pain to work with - it's virtually invisible on paper and grows slowly. from what I've read in the literature they're always a bit feeble.

I'll be doing my best to keep it alive and raise some sclerotia, then see what happens if I make spores
