According to the Dutch forum about Slimemoulds (www.waarneming.nl) something went wrong in the development of this Myxomycetes. I didn't regognize the appearance and that was the explanation. I'm curious if someone has seen it before.IMG_9468.JPGIMG_9469.JPG

It looks like it's sporulated. I don't recognise the species but some of them have very gnarly looking spore bodies

Hello Ian,

Thanks for the explanation. I regognized it neither (but that is purely based on what I know and see in the nature reserves I visit regularly, see my photo's). The question is if it's a slime mould, disturbed in it's development or if it's a completely natural picture. I'm not familiar with how spore bodies look like for slime moulds that have this appearance.
