Hi there! I'm curious about the sensors used to detect the movements and electrical activity of the slime molds. Could you provide more details on the specific sensors employed in this project?

p.s. What software was used to create the video in this clip? I'm particularly interested because I'm currently working on a project to capture the sound of slime molds, but I have no idea where to begin

My big issue now is figuring out a way to automate starting a new timelapse capture in EOS Utility when a new slime mold is seeded and put under the camera. The installation will be somewhere I can't be every week when mold change overs happen, so I can't be there to manually do it in the computer.  Of course, as an interactive artist, the figuring out of this stuff is kinda my favorite part

I'm looking into cameras now. The installation I"m working on will involve 6 slime molds growing at the same time, all with timelapse going. I've tried out lots of different webcams, even a super good 4k one, but none get imagery nearly as nice as a dslr.   I've been looking into getting used Canon Rebel Xs - but I'll look into EOS M cams.  Thanks for the tip!

Cool, I use eos-m's for shooting - cheapest camera that runs Magic Lantern. Just had two cameras wear out on me :( I don't have a musical mind but I do a lot of image processing

Hiya ian -

I use TouchDesigner to do the visual processing of the imagery, keying out everything but the slime mold yellows and turning it into keystroke data sent to the midi program Cakewalk.  I also use Canon EOS utility to capture the stills for the timelapse, but that's not seen here.

Ooh, what's the software?
