You can buy Physarum culture kits and specimens from educational/biological suppliers.

Anyone in Sweden / Denmark managed to source any Physarum locally?

I'm running a workshop in Malmö in August and need some stock plasmodium.

Can import it from biological suppliers, but thought I'd ask here first… Thanks, :)

Hi Heather

Most comparable experiments here are carried out with Badhamia. I guess it's because Physarum is not sourced locally and a bit difficult to obtain from the wild as the climate is a fraction too cold for it to be a common species.

I haven't worked with Badhamia before. Do you know if it has similar properties to Physarum polycephalum? I know they're a different order of classification - do you know if they are comparable in any way behaviour wise? Or if any specific research is done with Badhamia?

For the workshop I will probably import some Pp, but I'd be interested in knowing more about local species and research around Malmö area.
