Hello, i'm an architect and i'm working with physarum polycephalum for my master thesis.

I started growing physarum polycephalum 9 months ago. I kept growing 3 months and then i had a break. I wanted grow them again from sclerotia form last week but the don't grow anymore. Do you have an idea what parameters could be affected physarum? Is this physarum expired just 9 months? or may be agar or oatmeal?

Thanks.

Hi

They should keep for longer -  years - but it'll depend on the conditions the sclerotia have been stored in. You could ditch the agar and move to kitchen towel if you want to rule out the agar
