How to most efficiently move slime mold from container to a piece of paper

I want to move my slime mold from my container onto a piece of paper on which my experiment will take place. I’m just wondering what the most efficient way of doing this is.

I was thinking that I’ll just place out all the nodes on the paper and just leave the slime mold a trail of oatmeal to said nodes and hope that it moves there by itself.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Scoop about half a teaspoon of colonised oats and dump it in the middle - it'll start moving after an hour or so
