Physarum infested with back mould like structures

Hi everyone,

I'm recently doing a project on Physarum. Lately, my plates have been infested with black patches. I re-plated but the black mould-like structures came back. Can anyone give me any advice on this?

Will greatly appreciate that.

Are you sure they're not sporangia? - these organisms make black spores, particularly when they're exposed to light a lot.

Found this in the autoclave bin this morning - one of the older cultures has escaped. If your 'contamination' looks like this then it's actually formed spores.
