Trichia decipiens

I would say this is Trichia decipiens, based on other images online. Let me know if this is not correct. Nice to find some slime mould species in the ''wild'' close to where I live. Might try to take some actual macro images a bit later.

Nemo Andrea replied to Elton's discussion Slime Mould in the human gut.
"Hmm, it would surprise me very much if a slime mold could survive inside any part of the human body. Their natural ecological role/niche does to my knowledge (To be fair I have limited experience with different slime molds) not involve other…"

Nemo Andrea replied to ian's discussion Under the electron microscope
"Wow, very nice Ian!  Having a look at physarum under the TEM is something I'd love to do, but have not been able to convince anyone its worth the TEM time :). Do you think any part of physarum would be thin enough as is for inspection…"

A taste of mushroom

"I don't fully remember whether I vented the petri dish during the timelapse too many times, generally I try to minimise that for practical reasons. I think the liquid formation at the lid did prevent physarum from heading to that particular…"

A taste of mushroom

"Wow! Hands down the most interesting Physarum video I've seen yet. Amazing how it just zeros in on the mushroom, not even bothering to explore elsewhere until the mushroom is almost completely covered. Did you let it go to the point that the…"

Spore Change | Physarum Polycephalum

"Looks to me that they were forming a protective coating to prevent from drying out. If so, very clever."

Physarum Polycephalum in Infrared (720nm)

Picture of Physarum in infrared. This was taken with a 720nm infrared filter, which means wavelengths longer than 720nm pass through. In the future I will add a 590nm Infared image as well. Photosensors in physarum that detected far-red/IR are…

Physarum Polycephalum in Ultraviolet

"@ian (Don't see a reply option) yeah the camera needs to be modified for this (IR can in principle be done without but it means you are restricted to 30s exposure time for IR, which is no fun). Conversion is a matter of removing the internal…"

What is your interest in slime moulds? (we need to know you're not a bot or spamster)
I am interested in cytoskeletal behaviour, but work in more in vitro biophysics. But as more of a hobby id like to do some slide mold work (photography, etc)

I will upload videos to: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCLOGG1YYA3Q5Gj0ssWMDZ3g
